Easy to make Protein Bar Recipe!

I wrote a post earlier this week promoting the Anabolic Cookbook and how it has really helped me take my nutrition and eating habits to an entire new level.

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite recipes and one that also helps save some money with a little time in the kitchen.

We all need a convenient snack every now and then, or everyday like myself.  Running to your local convenience store and paying 3-4 dollars for a protein bar can get pretty pricey.  I like to save money and find ways to do it along with being healthy (and I support a family of 3).

Here is a fantastic recipe to make sure you get a great anabolic snack, and saving some money in the long run.  It’s a win – win!

Makes 5 Bars

– 8 scoops chocolate protein powder homemadebars– 1 cup oatmeal
– 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
– 3 tbsp honey
– 1/2 cup 1% milk
– 3 tbsp crushed peanuts

1. Mix together the protein powder, oatmeal, peanut butter, honey and milk.
2. Form into 5 bars and then roll in the crushed peanuts to finish.
3. Place in the fridge for about 30-45 mins or until solid
